👬Community Guidelines

At Teeket, we value the vibrant community of event organizers, attendees, enthusiasts, and everyone who come together to create and experience unforgettable moments, and services. It is of utmost importance to us that everyone feels safe and respected in our Teeket communities.

That’s why we’ve created these rules for all our Members, and we take them very seriously. Please do read on for our specific rules and what happens when they’re broken, but our general approach is this: say you were at a bar, and you started hurling verbal abuse, harassing the staff, or just making people feel uncomfortable and generally bringing a toxic vibe - you would get chucked out. Same goes with Teeket.

Rule 1: No d*ckheads.

Everyone has a right to use Teeket free of d*ckhead behavior - which includes harassment, bullying, hate speech, rude or abusive language, misogyny, gaslighting, and threats of violence. Communities and members who break our rules – especially those who incite violence or promote hate based on identity/vulnerability – will be banned. Where this behavior constitutes criminal conduct, we won’t hesitate to report it to the authorities. But remember: you don’t have to break a law to be a d*ckhead - you just have to break one of our rules in letter or in spirit.

Rule 2: Responsible Hosting

If you're throwing a shindig, make sure it's a good one! Stay on the right side of the law, get the necessary permits (if necessary), and don't be that person who forgets to order enough pizza. Happy attendees = happy vibes. Bonus points for party hats!

Rule 3: See it, say it, sorted.

See something fishy? Don't just shrug it off—report it! We're all about looking out for each other, and your super-sleuth skills could save the day. Plus, being a hero has serious bragging rights.😉

With that said, you may come across events, products, services, experiences and communities that are not your cup of tea or whose premise you fundamentally disagree with. In that case, we politely encourage you to keep walking, and not get involved.

Rule 4: Intellectual Property Rights

Don't be a party pooper by stealing someone else's thunder. Respect copyrights, give credit where it's due, and remember that imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery, but it's also a surefire way to get booted from the dance floor. Originality is the life of the party!

Rule 5: No hate speech.

There is no place on Teeket for hate speech of any kind. This includes content that promotes or condones discrimination, bigotry, hatred, or violence against people based on things like their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender, age, weight, height, appearance, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Our definition of hate speech includes any hurtful or malicious language meant to put someone down. Basically, if you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face, don’t use Teeket to say it or we will chuck you out.

Rule 6: No unsolicited nudes.

Look, if someone wants to see a pic of your junk, they will ask. Also, no porn, no photos in nothing but your underwear, and no picture with guns. This is the hard no list. The soft no list: shirtless mirror selfies, photos with sedated tigers (or any other wildlife), and photos in swimwear taken far from a body of water. These aren’t banned, but you’re not really putting your best foot forward with stuff like that on your profile, you know?

Rule 7: No catfishing.

Keep it real, folks. No catfishing here! Provide accurate event info, product and service descriptions and be honest in your interactions, and transactions. After all, trust is the glue that holds our community together, and we're not into sticky situations (unless it involves cotton candy at the fair). Also, don’t impersonate, or lie about being affiliated with, any person or entity. This includes parody accounts. We love us a sense of humor but let’s show that in other, less catfish-y ways.

Rule 8: No account clones.

One person, one account. One of you is enough, thank you very much! No doppelgängers or look-alikes here. Be your fabulous self, not someone else's shadow. We're all about celebrating individuality, not copy-pasting. Besides, there's only room for one star in the spotlight!

______________________________________

What happens when someone breaks the rules? We really hope we won’t have to end up here, but if we do, here’s what’s going to happen.

Spoiler alert: we’ll take a violation of our community rules really seriously. This is our menu of enforcement options - we’ll choose from this based on the seriousness of this offence. Asking you politely to knock it off. Then if you don’t knock it off, asking you a lot less politely, suspending accounts and chucking you out, taking legal action and if needed, involving law enforcement.

We’ll also take steps to help make our members feel safe and know that we take their concerns seriously, including removing inappropriate messages or content, and other steps to help remedy the situation.

Note: These guidelines are subject to change at the discretion of Teeket to ensure the continued safety and well-being of our community members.
